What is toddler rugby?

“Toddler rugby” usually refers to fun, non-contact rugby-inspired activities designed for very young children (often ages 2–5). It’s not actual rugby with tackling or competitive play – instead, it’s more like a structured play session that introduces toddlers to: Running, catching, and passing soft balls. Learning balance, coordination, and agility.

Following simple instructions and playing with others. Building confidence and teamwork skills. The “rugby” part is more about theme and branding, the activities are simplified and safe, focusing on movement and fun rather than the rules of rugby, however the movements and actions will help them when they take the step up into minis rugby at the age of 6.
